Outside UK after securing ILR

Hiya,
I have received my ILR VISA on 20/12/2012, and I got this based in Tier1(General)+ WP for 5yrs in the UK, now my question is I have a 6months to 1yr contract apportunity in UAE so just want to know if I go to UAE how likely my ILR visa will be cancellated?
I know the rule is you shouldn't be outside the UK for longer than 2yrs but want to know outside the UK for work is acceptable.
Anyone was in same situation?
