Can Emails act as evidence

Hi Gurus,
I left my former employer and now with a new employer in Tier 2 General. In giving reasons for business trips outside the UK, can I use emails sent to me by my former employer as evidence? This is because I didn't get any formal letter from them during some of the business trips but there were email communications.
Regards

Hi Gazilion,

Something is better than nothing. If your former employer is reluctant to provide you a letter, it's better to explain this in a letter to UKBA and provide emails as evidence. Only provide this if the case worker asks for it.
