Can we go out side the UK right after ILR approval

Hi all,
Most of people looking for ILR also look for naturalization/citizenship once day. I have some questions not so clear on:
- Can we go outside UK, example for business trip or visit family at home country during the qualified period to naturalization?
- If so, how long we can out the UK country?
- If we go out country for any reason, then do that period counted to the time for naturalization or need to exempt from that period?
What is the safe option?
