Hi

I was under the impression that while on Tier 2(General) with 1 dependent if I apply for ILR I dont have to prove Maintenance Fund requirement. I am planning to apply ILR in March 2014. I was just going through the SET (O) form and noticed that in the DOCUMENT section they mentioned that

if you have filled in Section 5 ( which is Home & Finances) then you have to provide proof HOW WILL YOU BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN yourself and depend.

Now here I am stuck with that. Could seniors please put some light on it.

It means maintain yourselves without recourse to public funds I.e. doing so with your wage.

Thanks for your reply. So thats what theoretically they mean, means just to be on safe side (Prudence Principal :)) that WE SHOULD HAVE SOME GOOD LOOKING balance in account lets say around 1,000 to 1,500 (with 1 dependent ) ONLY to PROVE it, as they want DOCUMENT as a PROOF.
