Changing Employment Whilst Awaiting ILR Approval

Hi everyone,

sorry if something similar to this has been posted recently, but I haven't been able to find any information about it or on the most recent couple of pages.

I am planning on looking for a new job whilst waiting to hear back from the HO about my ILR (SET(O)) application [sent in December 2012].

Since I do not have any form of identification, what can I use to prove my eligibility to work to employers? Seems like a simple problem but can't find any answers.

Thanks!

They have an employer's checking service, but its for your new employer to contact them. They wouldn't speak to you at all.

You could go for the interview, etc. Don't mention the visa issue until u're asked. I did same last year they only asked on my resumption date and I directed them to the employer checking service. They'll be given a certificate to cover you for 12 months.
