It's fine, don't worry. Remember the new English requirement from October 28-2013.

Thanks very much Guru that is very helpful because one of my friends was advising me not to fill in the form that she gets tax credit. my current permit expires 25th of October and i understand i can apply 28 days before so will be booking an appointment in Liverpool before the 25th.I consider myself lucky as would not need to sit another English test as the Life in the UK test was nerve racking especially when i sat down waiting for the result after.

It's not so much 28 days before the visa expires, but rather, you can apply from 28 days before your 2 year probationary period (since you entered uk) ends.

Dear D4109125
I passed Ielts in 2007 which i have used for student visa 2007,work permit 2008,extensions 2010 and 2013.
I am going to apy ILR in Nov 13.
Can i use old ielts certificate for ILR application or need to be passed again?
