PEO at Glasgow

Here is my case and list of documents submitted:

I applied for an ILR for SET (O)
• Appointment was at 1030
• Entered the building at 1015, signed declaration.
• Registered the case at 1030, documents verified then.
• All the original documents were put into one file and I was told to await further instructions
• Payment made through credit card using details on the form.
• Bio-metrics at 1045 (she was hilarious and good fun too!).
• Was told it was approved so I went for a quick walk to answer my emails (there is nothing to do in the area!) and returned to collected the copies of the documents at 1230
• Simple and seamless

Documents Submitted:

Cover Letter from the Main Applicant

Application Form

• Completed and Signed Set(O) Form with proof of deposit payment
• Two Photographs of the Main Applicant (they only kept one)

Proof of Identity

• Passport of the Main Applicant

Current Employer Letter and Proof of Earnings

• 12 Months’ Payslip
• 12 Months’ Bank Statement

Life in the UK Test and the Degree Certificate

• Life in the UK Test - Pass Notification Letter of the Main Applicant

BRP

• Handed this to them, they retained

Proof of Absences

• Absence List Spreadsheet (over 300 days absence in 5 years, 97 in one)
• Absence Letter from the Current and Previous Employer

That was it, very friendly people there...do bring reading material and drinks/food as there is only a vending machine (but cafe across the way).
Keep it simple, do not add additional paperwork for them if it is not required!

That's me done!

Congrats!
"Keep it simple, do not add additional paperwork for them if it is not required! " Exactly. This is what i have been suggesting to everyone. That said, keep maximum documents with you.

Keep it simple, do not add additional paperwork for them if it is not required!

Is it requirement to provide 12 months Payslips and 12 months bank statement? I am on Tier 2 (General).

Do they not only ask for latest 1 month bank statement with latest 1 month pay slip??

Thanks

You will have to check the paper work to see what is required of Tier 2. Since it is a sponsored category, you may need to provide them with more details from your employer etc.

I didn't pay online as that wasn't an option when I booked in August. I paid the deposit over the phone and the remainder in person.

Would you mind sharing the Cover Letter from the Main Applicant format or sample please.

Hi,
I am applying for ILR completing 5 years under HSMP+Tier 1 (G) in a few days time. I am bit confused while filling SECTION 5 of the Set (o) form.

FYI: I have answered 5.1 to 5.5 as follows:

5.1 Is your home in the UK: YES

5.2 Do you or your partner, or both, pay any rent or mortgage for your home: YES

If so, how much do you pay each month: £ XXX

5.3 Are you working in the UK: YES

If so, what is your pay each month after income tax and other deductions: £ XXXX

5.4 Does a relative or friend of you or your partner, or both of you, regularly give you money: NO

5.5 Are you receiving any public funds: NO

After this Section 5.6 says:
Complete the following table indicating the sources and levels of income as indicated in 5.1 - 5.5 that you and your partner are relying on to adequately maintain you and any dependants.

Am I still required to fill section 5.6 for home and finances purpose when I filled 5.1 to 5.5 like above??

On Page 11 of the Set (o) form it says:
If you are unable to meet the appropriate rate of pay because you are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave you should answer questions 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8. If this does not apply to you, please go to section 6.

This is really confusing.
Kindly help me on this.

Many Thanks
