Do not worry his DLR is under the old rules which means you can claim public funds. After 6 years under DLR he can apply to settle or when he has completed 10 legal years whichever is sooner. Your claim for JSA should be awarding a couple amount also claim Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit.

OK then ILR and having recourse to public funds is permitted.

So before my husband applies for ILR,Employment would be ideal from ethier one of us or both or savings,

Your husband is permitted to claim benefits therefore, claiming benefits should not affect his application!

1. Do not post in Capitals. 2. Learn to be patient.

The form required is SET(O).
