I applied or my ILR in august using the on day service and i was given further checks letter. Am a sole trader. After 3 weeks of applying they replied to ask why there was a discrepancy between the money I claimed in my last tier 1 extension and the tax return made to hmrc. Unfortunately, the accountant made a mistake on the tax return. I contacted the accountant and he realised there was a mistake on the return. He ammended this and the right tax was paid immediately.

The accountant wrote a letter that he made a mistake in the return and it has been amended and tax paid and he apologised for the error. My lawyer also wrote a covering letter and we attached the receipt of tax paid to the 2 letters and sent it to HO. We haven't heard anything back and it will be 3 weeks next Wednesday. Has this happened to anyone. Can you advice. Hope everything will be fine.

I wouldn't worry, a decision will take up to 6 months. Hopefully sooner. If you've got free time/are close, you could pop into the peo and ask for an update.

Thanks for your reply. Why 6 months? I understand if they ask for more document it takes 3 weeks for HO to decide. Moreover my application was PEO-which is one day service.

We applied for ILR - one day service in liverpool. The caseworker has told us to submit the 2009-10 and 2010-11 tax returns. We posted those documents on friday. Please anyone know how long it will take to get the result as our visa is going to expire on 08/10/2013.
Will they give result before our visa expiry or not? If anything goes wrong is thery any chance to go for appeal(after our visa expiry) or not?
Please anyone give me response and thanks in advance

Does anyone have an idea of when I should be expecting a decision about my ILR Application. One of my clients was contacted about 2 weeks ago to verify my business. I was expecting that I should have a decision by now. I applied (PEO) in June for ILR using salary and self employment as a sole trader.

I think Amber already told you how long it might take. In my opinion and experience it could take anywhere between one day and infinity.
