ILR application held at PEO ... 25/09/2013

One of my friend have Applied ILR today based on Tier 1 General.UKBA hold the decision by saying that they need to make further checks on the application.
Any body have any idea that how long it can take to get a decision from UKBA in this situation.

Was your friend Self Employed ?? Or was he in Permanent employment?
They sometimes hold applications for self employed people to check with HMRC etc if they have payed their taxes correctly ... It all depends.... can take a few days i believe...
