Query for ILR on Tier 2 ICT ( Oct 2009 )

Hi,
I have been in UK since Oct 2009 on Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer (ICT) Visa. I've had 2 visa extentions done in UK - Tier ICT Long Term which is valid untill Feb 2014 . I understand that I would be eligible for ILR in Sept 2014; however for some unknown reason the company want's me to go back to India in Jan 2014. However I dont want to miss on the opportunity for applying ILR with few months left.
My query is
(1) If I go back to India in Jan 2014 and come back in say 2 months to UK on Tier 2 General Visa sponsored by a different company in UK will I still be eligible for ILR ? Will my total years of stay in UK be counted from Oct 2009 or will it be reset ? Please note that the Tier 2 General visa would be applied outside UK.
Guru/Seniors, I've been looking for similar query/situation in other threads; however couldn't find one. Could you please help me with the above query or point me to any threads if any.
