Will I become eligible for ILR? - Employment gap

Hi all, the information here has been very useful. I am looking to get some clarifications if I will become eligible for ILR after the 5 year period.

I am on Tier 2 General visa from May 2010. I had lost my previous job and then found a new job and joined after 6 months (in March 2013). So I am sponosred on Tier 2 by my current employer which is valid for another 3 years. I was in UK on Tier 2 the whole time though and also did change of jobs also within UK.

I know of the 60 day rule between changes of employment for getting ILR. So I wanted to know if this means that my ILR clock is effectively reset from my current job start date (March 2013)? Also, I can't be on Tier 2 for more than 6 years so meaning I can't complete the 5 years for ILR.

Many Thanks in anticipation.

Also, how does UKBA know about our employment gaps? IS it necessary to show that I have been working for all 5 years through some document?

Thanks D4109125.

But the FAQs don't answer my questions. Nor can I find any specific posts for this.
