one of my friend have this issue
His wife came in the UK in March 2008 as a student Dependant.
he got his ILR on the basis of Long Residency(10 years) in January 2012.then he applied for her leave to remain as spouse of settled person in February 2012 she got her leave in in October 2012 for 2 years.he has 2 kids they are British.
as she applied before 9th July 2012 and she was already dependent of him and he is confused when she will be eligible to apply for ILR ....either in October 2014 or he can apply now as she has been for almost 5 years with him in the UK?????

I'm also confused.

Didn't you get ILR on the basis of 5 years Tier 1 General, etc?

Moreover, your circumstances are different in this post too.

Why did you make a different scenario on your other thread and ask multiple questions regarding the new financial requirement?

When asking on behalf of someone else, please don't use the word "I" or "my".

Ah I see now it's a 'friend'. As Vinny states, you should be clear from the beginning as it just causes unnecessary confusion.
