I have less than 180 days total absence from the UK in the last 5 years and I am applying for my ILR next month. I need to know whether I need to provide evidence for my leaves for which I have spent time outside UK. I have been out of the UK for family get togethers on Casual leave from my company. In the SET(O) form, Section 6, question, 6.3, it asks:

6.3 What evidence has been provided to support the reasons for all absences from the UK?

a) Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including periods of paid annual leave from the UK?

b) Letter from applicant detailing reasons for absence due to compelling or compassionate reasons

c) Original official documents: (medical/birth/death certificate(s))

d) Letter from travel companies to evidence disruption to travel

e) Other

I have been told that if my total absences are less than 180 days, I need not provide any absences. If this is true, what do I choose as an answer in this question?

I have referred to the Policy Guidance from the link

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... iew=Binary

but, could not get an answer. Someone even suggested I should not choose any of the options as my absence is less than 180 days.

Please help!!

Also i want to ask what should we write against the number of days someone is outside UK

If someone was outside UK for 30 days in a year and 25 is the Paid leaves. What should be written against the remaining 5

Holiday/Vacation etc

Please advise.

2nd doubt i have is

i have only 4 years P60 cos by the time i apply for ILR, financial year wont be completed.
so will it be OK with 4 P60s

Based on members experience, if your absences are <180 days per 12 month period, no questions re: evidence appear to be asked.

Thanks D4109125 ! My question then would be what should I mention in Question 6.3 ? Or do you reckon I should leave it blank ?

Hi rubbyuk,
I just tick OTHER for Q6.3 and mentioned Payslips(few paid holidays I had) and SELF EXPLANATORY ABSENCES Letter(spreadsheet), I had total 214 holidays over my last five year Tier1 G visa, 146 in 1 year, my ILR granted(no employer absences letter), so as long as ur holidays no more then 180 days in 1 year, you should be OK.

I have another question related to Questions E1 till Section G starting from page number 41 of 59. I am assuming these questions are related to Tier 1 only. Am I correct ? I am a Tier 2 General applicant, so, can I leave them blank ?
