Hi Everyone,

i applied for ILR in feb 2012 but my application was refused due to conviction. After going through appeal process in first tier nd then upper tier tribunal finally got my BRP and passports back after long long wait (21 months). I have been granted leave (might be discretionay) for two years but nothing is written on my BRP except work permitted.

Few question if some one can help.

1. Does anyone know what type of visa i have now?

2. i have already spent 5 years on work permit from feb 2007 to feb 2012. Can i apply for ILR now or do i hve to wait till i have spent 10 years in UK?

what type of conviction did you have (if you don't mind sharing) and also when were you convicted.

If your conviction is a non custodial one and 2 years have passed since the conviction date you can reapply for ILR provided you meet other requirement and you declare the conviction in you next application.
