Hello All

I am about to complete 10 years continuous leave in UK on 20 March 2014, Currently on Tier 1 General visa expiring on Jan 2015.

1. I believe I can only apply for ILR (LR) 28 days before I complete my 10 years continuous residency in UK? Meaning I can apply on or after 21 Feb 2014. And If I apply before 21 Feb 2014 my application will be rejected. Can you confirm this point please? I have heard from people who says you can apply any time but when It reached to case worker there should only be 28 days or less before you complete 10 years residency. Could you please clarify this

2. My wife is on tier 1 general dependent visa expiring Jan 2015, She came to UK on June 2009 as PSW dependent, What visa or route she needs to choose to apply in order to get ILR?

Many thanks in advance

1. Probably safer to apply for ILR no sooner than 28 days before the completion of your qualifying period.

2. FLR(M).

Dear Vinny and other respected members.

Could you please clear me on 2 question.
My wife came in uk as psw dependant on june 2009 and later became tier 1 general dependant. She will complete her 5 years being as pbs dependant on june 2014.

If I get my ilr can she apply ilr on june 2014 upon completing 5 years. Or she still has to apply flr m irrespective of being pbs dependants for 5 years. Will save me time and two fees.

Regards
