hi,

My Tier 1 is valid until 16th Feb 2014. There is a rule that you should not book an appointment 28 days before your visa expires. This might be a silly question but is it ok if I take an appointment for 20th Jan 2014?

Yes, provided you have spent 5 years lawfully in the UK . i.e you have entered UK on or before 16th May 2009.

Just wanted to confirm the calculation I am doing is correct.
I am calculating only 15 days of Feb and 20th jan makes 12 days of Jan so total 27. Is this correct ?

It is a silly ques but just wanted to be sure before paying so much money lol.

Yes. you are good to go on the 20th Jan 2014.

make it very simple. no need to give unnecessary documents(take them with you) unless your case is complicated.
