Hi

My son was born in the uk on 13th may 2013. My husband wAs granted ILR in September 2013. We have registered our son as an Indian citizen and got an Indian passport. We will now be applying for an ILR for him as my husband's dependent.

How much time would it take to get ILR if we submit postal application? We need to travel to India in mid February 2014, will ILR be done by then?

Thanks

Hi

You need not to apply ILR for him. Register him as a British citizen Using for MN1 form.

You should save money for the ILR application.

Thanks

He already as indian passport. I am more concerned at this point about the travel in feb. We will register him as a British citizen in a couple of years. Please advise about the ILR. If I register him as British citizen , I will need to surrender indian passport, apply for British passport, apply for oci (?), apply for visa for travel to India. Long process. Plus dont wAnt any queries from ukba on why applying for two passports in short span of time.
