Hi ,

I am on tier1 general and intend to apply for ILR in feb 2015.
I entered country on 20th Feb 2010.

I was out of UK twice
2012 - 1 month( Holiday to India ) - Contracting through umbrella company so permanent employee of this Umbrella company.

2013 - 1 month( Holiday to india ) - Self employed - contracting for own limited company.

Question
------------
1) Do i need show evidence for both absences?
2) what would be evidence for first holiday?
3) What would be evidence for second holiday ?

Help is very much appreciated.

no evidence should be required if absences are below 180 days in a year, try getting a letter if you can mentioning the reason what the holidays were for, nothing to worry about if you can't

Is it not mandatory to get evidence ? Looks like it is mandatory from following lines.

Absences must be connected to the applicant’s sponsored or permitted employment, or the permitted economic activity being carried out in the UK, for example, business trips or short secondments. This also includes, any paid annual leave which must be assessed on a case by case basis and must be in line with the UK statutory annual leave entitlement

Evidence in the form of a letter from the employer setting out the reasons for the absences, including annual leave, must be provided. Tier 1 (General) applicants who are self employed or in business must provide a letter of explanation of their business-related absences, including any time spent on holiday outside the UK.

Does it mean i can leave section 6.2 empty?

contrary to whats written in the form, CWs dont ask for absence evidence if they are less than 180 days in a year

fill up 6.2 as normal giving dates of absences and the relevant reason
