Hi All,
I have first entered UK with Tier 2 work permit on Dec 2008 and got 4 visa extension (tier 2 intra company transfer). But I have stayed outside the UK for 182 and 190 days in two occasion for company related work. Kindly let me know if I am eligible for ILR?
Trip 1) Dec 2008 to Sep 2009
Trip 2) Mar 2010 to Feb 2012
Trip 3) Sep 2012 to till date
Between Trip (1) and (2) 182 days gap
Between Trip (2) and (3) 190 days gap
And secondly I stayed in UK most of the duration as a paying guest. So I do not have rental agreement or house contract on my name – will I still be eligible for the ILR?
Thanks in Advance.

When are you planning to apply for ILR? From that date, list absences (excluding arrival n departure dates) in a 12 months period in the following format.
Example: Application date 11 November 2012
Year 1 11 November 2012 to 12 November 2011- out of uk days?
Year 2 11 November 2011 to 12 November 2010- out of uk days?
Year 3 11 November 2010 to 12 November 2009- out of uk days?
Year 4 11 November 2009 to 12 November 2008- out of uk days?
Year 5 11 November 2008 to 12 November 2007- out of uk days?

I am planning in Jan 2014. By doing the calculation as you mentioned, it helps me as mentioned below
Between Trip (1) and (2) 182 days gap - This can be broken into 90 and 90 days.
Between Trip (2) and (3) 190 days gap - But this cant be changed

because this was between Feb till Sep, I was on leave.
Since the extra duration of stay is only 10 days can there be any consideration given? Was there any one case in the past who has got ILR with similar case?

Hi Ryans/All,
For one of the month while I as away from UK, I have been paid in UK salary only. So can these holidays be excluded from my calculations?
Thanks,
Praveen

You will need a letter from your employer certifying that you were absent from the UK for business purposes.
Also have an explanation ready as to why you were not paid income in the UK if absent for work reasons.

Thanks for the clear infomration.
I have some medical grounds for which I have applied 15 days leave. Any idea or format how medical letter should appear like?
I am thinking below format
On the letter write of doctor I am planning to get a letter in the below format
<Reason for not well>
<Cause of the problem>
<Medicine recommended>
<When patient was recovered>
Kindly let me know if I need to get any other points on the letter.

You might also want to document the kind of treatment you need so that you can use that as a justification for needing to leave the UK (unable to get required care here)
