ILR English Test and Passport Name

Hi all,

I am preparing to apply for my wifes ILR in March and had two really quick questions if someone would kindly put my mind at ease about.

1. I have done some researching into the english requirement and in some places it says B1 and others are depending on the exam taken. My wife already took ESOL Skills for Life in May 2013 (S&L) and passed at Level 1. I believe this is just below B1, would this be ok as I saw some places on the UKBA site saying a pass at L1 is ok.

2. Her passport name is still under her maiden name but the documents that she gets from bank and course certificates are in her married name. Will it cause a problem with these being different? (we have the marriage certificate to hand).

Thanks

baz

Sorry can you please clarify? I thought the HO wanted B1?

I am confused now, am I applying for the right thing?

My wife came on a spouse visa just less than two years ago, and on the visa there was a two year expiry. Which application do I submit in April?

Also I have checked her certificate for ESOL SKILLS FOR LIFE and she has passed at Level 1 and Level 2 but the certificate is from City & Guilds. The pdf on the home office website only shows those published by Cambridge. Will this be ok or will she have to retake the test for Cambridge ESOL?
