Hi All,
My wife took ESOL Skills for Life by City & Guilds in 2013 and passed Speaking & Listening at both Level 1 and Level 2.
Would this be valid for ILR application or would she have to retake Cambridge ESOL?

Yeah I'd checked that too and I wasn't quite sure. Thanks for checking pinkpop!
I wonder if anyone else has used City & Guilds as their english requirement ESOL exam? Please let me know as I'm close to panicking!

Thank you! I will look into doing that now.
Do the home office require all exams (Reading, writing, spealing and listening) and take into account just the Speakinf and Listening. ..Or can she just take the Speaking and Listeninf?
Thanks once again pinkpop!

She needs to take only for speaking and listening.
The fee is 125pounds and u can buy pre paid special delivery or choose to collect the certificate from the test centre.
The information and exam dates and centres can be found via
www.englishexamcentres.co.uk search for trinity college esol entry 3 or grade 5.
The certifficate normally come within two weeks.
Hope you find this helpful
Good luck

If the certificate clearly doesn't stipulate 'City & Guilds International ESOL Diploma' then I'm afraid that might be rejected by Home Office. Either call City & Guilds call centre / office and confirm that or as advised by the others here, take oneof the other exams.
You might find this list useful. It's a list of all the english language tests affiliated to CEFR and approved by UK Home Office
