Dear All,
My wife is currently my dependant on my ILR visa & since I have completed 12 months I will be applying for UK citzenship next week.
My question is that if I apply for citzenship & succesfully receive it, does my wifes staus as my dependant to the ILR expire?
Also should I apply for my wifes ILR to change first & than apply for mine & my wifes citzenship together?
My wife has been living with me in the UK since August 2010 as my dependant. Does the old rule still apply for her to apply for ILR, which is 2 year qualifying period?
Once she receives ILR can she apply for citzenship with me straightaway or would she need to wait 1 more year?
Please advise as I am having great dilemas on what to do.
Thanks in advance
ZZ

Also should I apply for my wifes ILR to change first & than apply for mine & my wifes citzenship together? You can if she meets the standard requirements of 5 years, but probably best if you apply and once approved, she can apply immediately as spouse of BC provided she has ILR already and this will be based on 3 years residence.

She currently has Spouse/Partner leave to remain visa & I have an ILR.

Just to clarify, my wife has been living with me in the UK since August 2010. I was prviosuly on Tier 1 & she was my dependant. Than I got my ILR & she bacame my dependant. As of now she has been living with me as my wife for over 3 year. Does she still have to complete 5 years to apply for ILR???
Thanks
