Family - All applying for ILR in different times.

Hi,

I'm completing 5 years in March 2014 & applying for ILR.

My spouse completing 2 continuous years in Sep 2014 (in UK since Sep 2012 and will be applying for ILR.

Me, my spouse & our 4.5 year old kid (kid born outside UK). Our current Visas expiring on 16-Apr-2015 for all 3.

So please advice if following works.

I apply for ILR in March 2014 and my wife & kid continue in TIER2 ICT dependent visa as it is valid till Apr 2015. And my wife alone applies for ILR in Sep 2014. This way i can apply for Citizenship directly for my kid along with me say in March 2015, so i can avoid the ILR expenses for my Kid. I presume my wife cannot apply for citizenship until Sep 2015?

q1) Is this feasible?

q2) Between now & Sep 2014 if we go out of UK for say 3-4 weeks, will it affect my wife's ILR case in Sep 2014? We might need to go for a marriage function which we cannot avoid. Please suggest a better way to handle our case.

Thanks
J

Your child will need to have ILR as they were born abroad if you want to apply for citizenship.

The short absence will be fine.

I been told if both parents have ILR, then child can apply for Citizenship directly. IS this is not the case?
