Question about absence letter for ILR (under T1-G route)

Hi Gurus and Members,
I am going to apply for ILR (SET-O) under Tier-1 (General) on 21st March 2014 with my wife and son (2 dependents).
During my whole 5 years in UK (besides first 6-months trying to search for job) I was/am doing full-time paid job so hopefully everything is straight forward from my earnings side.
During this time I went out of UK 2-times in total for holidays (using paid-leaves) for around 5-weeks and 4 weeks respectively.
Should I have to do:
-- Create an excel sheet mentioning all my time/date outside UK ?
-- Get an employer letter that I went outside UK for these dates for holidays and on paid-leaves ? (Can someone give me format of the letter; the one in sticky doesn't seems right to me for this purpose as those were just holidays/personal visit)
Waiting for your quick responses.
Thanks
Fawad Lateef

create a excel sheet and if possible list the following columns
Year 1 - Col 1
Date (start date of ur first T1 visa e.g 01/01/2009) - Col 2
Date (end date of first year, in other words, eg 31/12/2009) - Col 3
Date (start date of your holiday) - Col 4
Date (end date of your holiday) - Col 5
Total days (including weekend) - Col 6
List 5 years and when you have not been outside of the UK, leave them blank
This would do.

Thanks for replying. Moreover, I noticed that SET(O) form have a table where you list your absences which will be similar to this sheet, right? And isn't this will be just a duplicate information?
Should I need to take Employer letter too? Can you suggest some format if yes?
Thanks again.

the table on SET (O) form is for your absences when you have been away from the UK for over 6 months. There will be no duplication of your excel sheet!

It is not a must if you are less than 180 days absence from the UK. I had carried mine to PEO, but that only listed my work travels (plenty though'). BTW, i forgot to add one more colum to that table i drew above. Add last column and list the holidays as work or personal.
all the best

Hi again, just needs some more clarification.
Form (
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... orseto.pdf); section 6.2 is asking for all times spent outside UK (so should I fill that too besides excel sheet?) and it says that all absences needs evidences.
Isn't it contradicts what you mentioned OR am I missing something basic here ?

This would be a repeat of your information in excel spreadsheet.
