Hi
I have already completed my 5 years of continuous stay in the UK as Tier 1 (General) in March 2014 so eligible for ILR. My wife and children shall be completing 5 years in June 2014. I know that for spouse it is 2 years continuous residence requirement but not sure if children also have 2 years continuous residence requirement before they apply for ILR along with me.
Kindly advise me.
Regards
Sanjeev

No time for children, both apply with you all on one set(o) form.

Thanks Amber.

Is it the same 180 days absence rule like for like "5 years continuous period" as main application? If so, do you or anyone know what's the absence date for spouse? Thanks.

There is no absence limit for PBS deps, instead, absences should be limited and for good reason.

Who mentioned 18+ children?

We are talking about minor children here.

Hi Amber,

Thanks for your help.

Sorry I am not able to find "continuous" on that link "Immigration_Rules_-_Part_8.pdf".

However if I refer below link, it said 2 years but not continuous 2 years?

Could we discuss more about this topic please? Thanks.

Best Regards

Thanks Amber.

Is there any holiday limitation for Spouse? i.e 2 years continuous leave was granted but away for single one -- 3 months holiday alone?

Thanks and Regards

So; is there any timelimit for children 18+ for ILR eligibility? I don't think so as they will apply as dependent still (need to prove dependent), am I right?

I assume the topic starter called it "child age18+" for a reason

There seems to be 2 members on here asking different questions.

Those who are 18+ applying as dep children should not be living an independent life e.g. should still be financially dependant on parent(s) and living at home.
