How long does an ILR application take

We submitted our application three weeks ago, via the Settlement checking service. Our payment has been taken and we have a letter to say they have received our application. We expected a letter pretty quickly to ask my husband to go and do his biometrics, but three weeks later there is still no letter?

He has them done in the past in for his last visa, but we have no evidence of this. We did put on his form where he had had finger prints done in the past. Could they be using his old biometrics? Or is this how long it takes?

Also does anyone have any experience of how long applying in this was normally takes. We were told three months for 95% of applications, but then we were told that our application looked like an easy one?

All the waiting and worry is putting such a strain on us.

Thanks for your replies :-)

Hi Askim,

Welcome to the forum!

This thread can give you an approximate timeline as to how fast the applications are currently being processed.
