Hi, I came to the UK in Sept 2004 as a student. I did my A-levels here, first degree and professional qualification ACCA. While studying my ACCA, the college had an offer to study MBA afterwards which I paid for in Sept 2011. however, my student visa expired in Oct 2012 and my MBA was supposed to start in Oct 2012. I couldn't renew my student visa under the new 8 year rule of study as I had been studying for 8 years already.
I applied using the FLR(o) route arguing that I wanted to finish my MBA and my family don't reside in my home country to go back to. The FLR(o) got rejected but I have an appeal on the 27th of June 2014. Now by the second week in August I would be eligible to apply for ILR which is 6 weeks after my court date. I've been advised to drag the court date and find a reason why I can't attend on that day so a new date can be set but I have decided to go on with the 27th of June.
What are my options if I get rejected? please help with any advice you can give to help me get the ILR.

In court hearing u shld focus on the point that it is unlawful and 8 yr rule is against ur human rights etc aftr that u had an option to apply to upper tribunal and by the tym u got any response it wuld be six weeks so u can just withdraw ur appeal and apply for ILR.
