Dear all,

I need all possible help and guidance.

i applied for ilr in november 2013 under tier 1 general migrant. I showed earnings from my job and dividends from my company which i set up in April 2013. However my application was refused after 6 months on the basis that hmrc confirmed i had not paid any tax and hence HO could not verify my self employed earnings. However i need to declare my income only in January next year. Please help as i am planning to appeal. I am stressed out of my mind.

kind Regards

Have you subscribed to RTI? Did you present payslips and dividend vouchers?

What does your accountant say?

Dear Wanderer,

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. I really appreciate it. Payslips and dividend vouchers were submitted. I am not sure whether the accountant subscribed to RTI. He said he would take care of everything and I decided to trust him on that. On hindsight I should have been more pragmatic and checked as well.

kind Regards,
Rahul

Dear Rahul,
I am sorry to hear about your ILR refusal. I would ask you to please describe the entire case from start to finish about your ILR application that will help us to understand the case. You mentioned that " home office confirmed with HMRC as you didn't pay any tax (Not clear on personal tax or self employment tax or Corporation tax) and therefore they have refused your ILR application. could you please copy and paste the exact refusal letter wording here. awaiting your reply.
