Hi Amber/Moderators,
I just came across the below example in the "Curtailment of Leave" document located at https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _0_EXT.pdf
A Tier 2 migrant applies for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) having built up five years in the appropriate categories but also has nine months remaining leave from their previous grant. The migrant is aged over 18 and does not have any dependent family in the UK. The ILR application is refused because they switched employers without approval.
Could you please explain what do they mean when they say "because they switched employers without approval".

To get the context I would request you to go through this section in the document. I am not pasting it to avoid making this a huge post.

Thanks.

It means if your leave was in connection with a specific sponsor and you left without seeking permission to do so.
