Dear All

I came to UK on DEC 2010 as dependent and my wife was on PSW. since then she applied for HSMP tier 1 General with me and now with second extension my visa is valid till 2016. My wife is applying for ILR on long residency basis in Sep 2014. What will be my status then, should i have to apply after she get the ILR and get my ILR as well or I have to apply for spouce visa and wait for 5 years or 2 years.

Please help me.

With Regards

You will need to switch to FLR(M) and it will be another 5 years before you can apply for ILR. English level A1 and financial requirement needs to be met.

Initial visa will be for 2.5 years after which you will need to renew it for another 2.5 years, meeting the requirements at each stage.

After 5 years, you can apply for ILR on SET(M), English level B1, LIUK and financial requirement to be met.

Dear

thanks for your information. one of solicitor told me that I can apply with my wife for ILR if I have spent three years with her in UK as dependent on her tier 1 general visa.

You spouse should, if possible, continue and apply for ILR as a PBS applicant so that you can apply for ILR at the same time.
