ILR SET(O) QUERIES...

Applying for (UK Ancestry from Australia) ILR SET(O) x 7 very soon. I am very, very nervous as our extension applications took over 6 months and we had a dreadful time of it. Wish we could afford fast track!
1) Section 5:3 Home & Finances
Are you working in the UK, If so, what is your (net) pay? But they don't ask for my husband's pay - which is much higher than mine. They will look at what we pay on our monthly mortgage, and see my pay and think we cannot sustain ourselves!
2) Section 6: Immigration History.
6:1 When did you (main applicant) first enter UK...
6:2 Since then have you had any absences...
These two questions obviously refer to the main applicant - me, however there is no question for my husband's absences, yet I'm certain this is necessary...? My husband has had over the limit (245) however they were almost all business trips with the two companies he works for (luckily he records these). Does an employer write every date on a letter for proof, or just state that as part of his employment he is generally required to leave the country on business? Will they accept him going over the limit in absences as it was part of his employment?
3) All our kids have turned 18 since we arrived in the UK 9 years ago. They have to make separate ILR applications. I will send all the applications in together, but am very worried because they do not have the UK ancestry, it was my grandfather. I was told some time ago that it's okay but still I worry!!
Please somebody put me out of my misery...
