Recommendation for ILR checking service via solicitor

Hey all, I plan on getting an ILR premium appointment this October. I was wondering if anyone has ever used a solicitor as a checking service? I.e. I would like to send my completed application + suipporting documents to a visa solicitor and have them check them for accuracy/correctness but then send them back. Just to get peace of mind I suppose. Happy to pay a few hundred quid for that.

Has anyone used a solicitor for something like this? If so please refer.

Thanks!

Separately: is there a current contact email to ask an ILR question to UKIV? I could only find one for citizenship and naturalisation.

Which region of the UK are you based, and what ILR application are you making.

Based in London (Camden council) and will apply using the SET(O) application.

Basically, I'd like a 2nd opinion on everything but need to use the same day premium service due to time constraints.

What is the basis of the application

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by "basis"? I am applying for ILR. Currently on a Tier 1 (General).

But Camden council don't do checks for Set (O). I am of the view that checks are confined to Set (M).

Is you concern the conviction.

Hey Obie. Thanks for the reply.

1. Yeah, I saw that certain councils provide a checking service. We actually used this for my wife's citizenship application by post. But I wanted to have my ILR checked as well (by council or solicitor), but still be able to go to a premium appointment.

2. Yes, I am still concerned about my convicitons. I know sufficient time has passed pursuant to language in Part 9 of the immigration rules, but I'm still worried about it. My wife and newborn child depend on my income here, so if this ILR get's denied it will serious impact our family.

Thoughts?

Settlement checking service is only available for Set(M) applicants.

I think there are plenty of OISC (Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner) accredited immigration consultants who would charge a fee and check your application for you - just for your added peace of mind.

This link might be of help: http://oisc.homeoffice.gov.uk/how_to_fi ... n_adviser/

I think if your too concerned and there is too much of stake you might probably just be better off hiring one of them to do the application on your behalf. I think they charge anything between £600-£1000 or thereabouts I guess.

Good luck with your application.

Much less to simply check the application.
