Hi,

I am writing on behalf of a friend that he needs help to answer a question for his ILR on Tier-1 (General).

Section 11 of the application form

11L Tier 1 (General) migrant

If you are applying for indefinite leave to remain on completing five years’ continuous stay in the
UK made up of leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant and leave as a highly skilled migrant, work
permit holder, innovator, self-employed lawyer or writer, composer or artist, in addition to the
relevant documents in 11A, you must provide the following documents:

1. Evidence specified in section 9A of this form

2. For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, documents
showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules.

Please help what evidences does he need to provide to the above questions.

Thanks in advance

1. Evidence specified in section 9A of this form
These are the papers for the TIER1 renewal ...
- Evidence of salary
- Evidence of qualifications
- Evidence of ages

2. For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, documents
showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules.
Only if you were in UK using any other type of Visa (i.e.Tier2 or something) before being on Tier1, you would need to supply these papers.

Thanks.

I was in UK on Workpermit (upto Jan 2010), on Tier 2 ICT (Jan 2010 - May 2010), then Tier 1 General from May 2010. My 5 years qualifying period is made up of combined leaves under these categories.

What documents should I provide for the second question? (For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules.)

Thanks,
V
