Hello All,

I am really pleased to inform that by God's Grace, I was granted ILR on Saturday, 1st Nov. 2014 at Croydon PEO.

I am really grateful to all the moderators, members who have been sharing their time and knowledge to make this platform a blessing for all of us.

Experience was worth every penny. Staff were courteous and helpful.

I was let in at 7.45 am even though appointment was for 8.40 am and case was registered at 8 am sharp and Bio metrics done by 8.15 am. My token was the first to go under "Awaiting Consideration", but stayed there for upto 9 am and then changed to "Under Consideration" and bang at 9.30 am documents were ready to collect, and I was a free man.

Agency Letter to confirm On-going Contract.
12 months salary slips ( Paying myself Minimum Salary)
Bank Statements showing salary been credited into personal account
P60 Tax Year to 5 April 2014.

Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account Statement with net profit
9 Dividend Vouchers & 12 Invoices
Income Certificate by Certified CA showing dividends & Invoices summary
Bank Statements for Business Account to show business income
Bank Statements for Personal Account to show dividend transferred from business account
HMRC correspondence – statement for tax paid previously for all 5 yrs ( They can provide all 5 yrs of employement and self-employment history, this will also suffice for missing P60's)

Life in UK Test Certificate
Orginal Master's Degree from India

This is good enough for KOLL requirement for Tier 1 G ( 5yrs).


Absence Letters – Previous Employer letters & self declaration letter.

Since the total absence over 5 yrs were only 120. there was no issue.


Also, I had mentioned all the absences in a draft with all exit and entry dates.

Can you pls let me know how much earning you have claimed from self employment. I am in the same situation.I have to claim at least £27000 from self employment (Ltd Company and taking Dvidend monthly) as my total earning requirement is £50000 to qualify for ILR. I want to know if I go at PEO what can happen? Regards

Is it necessary to show agency letter for to confirm On-going Contract? Does it matter as long as you have fund into your account and paid enough into from client for your services?

Hi mnaeem126,

For you to claim as per what i understand is £27k from dividends you will have to make sure, that you can only pay yourself dividend after paying taxes and expenses of your limited company.

So for example, you earn £30k as ltd company, you can't realistically pay £27k in dividends as you will have to cover taxes and expenses. Hope i am clear.

No not necessary, but good to have as they will have a satisfaction, that i won't go on dole immidiately, after ILR

For dividend vouchers and salary payslips, did you have to certify it? For Balance Sheet and P&L did you use the companies house return or interim accounts prepared by your accountant? Thanks

Dividend vouchers and Salary slips were generated by Accountant, and Dividend vouchers were signed by me as a Director.

Company house return is not mandatory, bit i did filed the return to be on safe side, also, Interim accounts were prepared by accountants which is Mandatory.

can you please tell me whether you paid national insurance class 2 or not as a limited co director?
I took only quarterly dividends and expense claims, paid a company tax and no NI at all- would that be a problem?
I AM Preparing for ILR application and your help will be appreciated.

I have paid no national insurance at all, I didn't reach the threshold for paying that as a Director or company contributions.

It's best to contact your accountant, who will tell you if you are due any.
