Hi Experts,
I need your help to fill up the FLR(M) form for my spouse to apply for 'Dependent of ILR'.

Here is the situation detail -
My son and I have already obtained ILR, last March. My Spouse is in Tier-2 ICT, currently. She needs to convert her visa from Tier-2 ICT to 'Dependent of ILR'. However, I am a bit confused while filling up the maintenance requirement section. As per the guideline, I understood that I need to show £18,600 P.A before tax. However, I want to show my earnings to cover that amount.

I was in permanent job upto end of July'2014. And then I have started contracting (with my own Limited Company, UK based)from Aug'2014.

Questions are -
1. How many months of bank Statements and Salary Slips I required to show (from my parmanent job) ?
2. What documents I need to produce from my contracting job (my own Limited Company, UK based)?

to support the maintenance requirement?

I really really appreciate if you answer the above questions with your expertise. I am going to book an appointment in 'Dec 2014'. So appreciate your early response.

Thanks,

Unfortunately by starting contracting via a limited company you've put yourself in a bit of a bad position.

Had you remained employed - this was easy - 6 months of payslips and bank statements.

By becoming a limited company - you now have to wait until you have a financial year is complete to be able to submit any evidence. You have to show the CT600 as well as your accounts with them signed off by an appropriate accountant.

So I doubt you'll be able to apply in December now unless your wife meets the financial requirements on her own.

Just to let you know the application was successful. And we have received the BRP card. My wife didn't have to submit any Financial requirement document from her side. I was surprisingly happy, because on the day of application (in person) the PEO case worker didn't even call us for any clarification. It was a straight forward approval. I believe this was because the intension and supporting documents were clear enough for them to approve the case.

Also I like to mention here that I had called up UKBA helpline beforehand, for the requirements of supporting documents to cover the mix of permanent and contracting job in the same fiscal year. They guided me well and we got the result.
I am sharing it because if anyone in future has any doubt about immigration, please don't hesitate to call up UKBA helpline. They have enough authentic information to support you well.

Thanks

@ amit9253

Can you please advise the documents you submitted for this extension.

I also need to apply for dependent visa for my would be wife who is on ICT-long term as of today. As soon as I get married early next year will subsequently qualify for ILR. So if you could list out the documents you submitted would be really helpful.

I also work as limited company director so my case would be identical as yours. So kindly let me know the documents you submitted ?

Thanks

My honest suggestion will be to call up UKBA Customer Service at 0300 123 2241, it may take some time to reach them, because of queue, however, once you reach them you can have all your queries answered. I will also suggest to write down all your questions before calling them. So that you get all the answers at one go. And to my experience, they give you quite reliable information. Even for the cases like calculating date of application etc.

Good Luck !
