ILR application Permanent and Contract Jobs
Posted: Tue Dec 16, 2014 11:15 am
Hi all,
I have appointment booked for Saturday to submit my application. While i have all the documents ready am slightly confused on few sections of the application given my current status.
I have been on Tier-1 since Dec 2009 and all set for the ILR application.
I have been in a permanent job for over 4 years till June 2014. Since July I have moved to contracting. I am claiming points for 7 months of Permanent job and 5 months of director salary. This comes to a total of £30890.
1. Dec- June = Permanent Job a total of £26725.
2. July - Nov = Director Salary from my own company (£833 a month) total of £4165.
I have got the Payslips, letters form employer and bank statement to support 1.
I have got the Payslips, letter from my accountant and bank statement both my personal getting the salary and business statements showing the transfer out to support 2.
So far so good, I have everything in place and am pocketing 30 points for my earnings.
Now am stuck at section 5. of SET (O) application, attached screenshots of the application on this post.
5.3 Are you working in the UK? if so, what is your pay each month after income tax and other deductions?
My answer: Yes and £823.00
Now going to 5.6
Complete the following table indicating the sources and levels of income as indicated in 5.1-5.5 that you and your partner are relying on to adequately maintain you and the dependants.
My answer:
Income Source: Salary ; Interval received: Monthly ; Amount: £823
While, this looks good I am worried that showing this little salary might flag up a concern, My accountant says I should quote the average salary instead of £823, he suggests that I answer 5.3 and 5.6 as £2574.16 (£30890/12) he suggests that i mention it as below for 5.6.
My accountants suggested answer:
Income Source: Salary ; Interval received: Monthly ; Amount: £2574.16 Average.
What should i do guys ? Please advise. Many thanks
Raj
