I was on Tier 1 throughout 5 years .....and I am Permanent employee ....so I gave all the documents required for ILR , I would suggest to keep it very Simple ...just provide those documents which is asked in SET O Form , don't give un-necessary docs , just keep it with you if they ask you provide otherwise .......don't give .
Note : If you are absence does not exceed more than 180 ...not required any evidence just specify in the form IN and OUT of UK ....I din't even give any sepereate spreadsheet or covering letter. If you are going via PEO.
Any queries or clarrification I can respond back to you.

Hello,
Congrats on your success. Have you got any dependants? Which form did you use? Did they ask for any previous P60s?
Thanks.

Yes with two dependants ........gave latest P60 Apr 2014 ......if you are on tier1 you don't require P60..it is not mandatory.

You have to use Set O form when you are applying with dependants. Keep checking the Website because they will be changing the SET O Form.

How much time was taken by your application? Could you give a breakdown if possible?

Thanks for your reply. Do I need to fill in separate applications for dependants or just one SET(O) form for all of us (main applicant + 2 dependants). Sorry, this is very much confusing me.

hsr_1972 has clearly mentioned that he did not submit any employer specific absence letters, but a self written one.

I am not sure about what you said. he said he did not submit any cover letter or spreadsheet but he submitted anything mentioned on SET(O) form and employer letter is one of them.

Hi,
thanks for sharing your experience, the fact you did not submit any Employer absence letter is amazing but very strange.
as everyone over this forum has made it out that this letter is compulsory/mandatory.
i am sweating on this letter as my HR will question me if i ask such a letter. it will be really nice of you to confirm that
you did not give any separate proof for leaves especially as its not clear if such a letter is mandatory or not
thanks
peace

@Peace 26 : Absence letter or HR letter is not mandatory for absences , As long as you are not exceeded more than 180 Days in a year or 2.5 years Absence in 5 years not a problem , Bear in Mind when you are going to PEO same day appointment these absence letters is not mandatory. If you can get the letter just keep it as back up but don't submit.
I will tell you guys keep it Very Simple with minimal documents, Provide what they have asked for ...Don't give any un-necessary docs for example like Employment history ....
Good luck for you , I am able to help you in case you have any query.
cheers
