ILR Reason for absence, is personal reason ok?

Tier 1 G apply ILR

I have some absences, I went back my country to see my parents every year, each time last only 1-2 weeks. total absence days in 5 years is only 70 days.

Can I simply say "see parents" as "Reason for absence" in the application form? will these be refused? Or I have to stated these as "Business Trip"? Any idea? Thanks.

"See parents" is the totally logical information to supply.

You are allowed to visit your parents! And have a holiday outside the UK!

Thanks for the reply. As it is not business related, I worry, if there is no employer letter, will this be refused?

One of my previous employer (from 2.5 years)is saying we do not provide this letter.
I am thinking of writing a personal letter and printing out the email trail which shows that they are not very helpful ?

any other advice?

If you see forum threads on absences people have submitted self signed letters when absences are less than 180 days in 5 years .

UKVI is least bothered about minor absences, what they are really interested in is:

* Evidences of tax paid in perm/self employment since last LTR application
* Absences to meet ILR continuous residency
* Genuine Earnings Test
* Points scored in current application
* Dependent eligibility
* Cohabitation
* KoLL

Hope this helps.

Its simple ,

e.g if earnings is 45K required and tax paid is 8K, They want to see the same as per HMRC records on P60/ Employment history
They have access to PNC and other govt information systems

I will be applying as Tier 1 General and no dependents

I have the last 12 payslips and bank statements with required earnings

Do I still need evidence of Tax paid over the last 5 years?
and what is Genuine Earnings test - assuming that is for Self employment?
