Hi Boarders ,

A quick question about the ILR application :

1. I have done my Masters degree from UK : So I assume I dont have to take english test for my ILR application
2. My wife have completed her bachelor and master's degree from India. She also did a year long Teachers's training diploma here in UK. She has'nt been working here though and is applying for ILR as my dependent : Does she need to english language test considering she has Bach and master degree taught in english but in India and she has a teaching diploma from here in UK.

I assume Life in UK test is compulsary for both of us for ILR application.

Thanks in advance for your help and time.

As per i know, if your wife's master degree is equivalent to UK degree then it is not required. If she already have the diploma in Teaching from UK. It should be sufficient enough to prof English.

You can also check her university which she did master degree from PBS link (https://www.points.homeoffice.gov.uk/gu ... ment.faces) is recognized or not.
