ilr for children

we as a family obtained uk visa in april 2010 so we are eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain in 2015 april. our visas are valid till april 2016. my children were not born in uk. do i have to apply for ILR of my children?

Is your ultimate plan is to apply for British Citizenship for them??
If yes, then they will need to have ILR.

@CR001, Can the OP not directly apply for registration of the children after both of them get ILR?

ultimtae plan is to apply for british citizenship for all of us as family. but ive heard that once we parents get ilr the next year we will get british citizenship and children will gte british citizenship on our basis and in this way we dont have to apply for their ilr

This is only applicable for those children were born in the UK.
You must have to have ILR for British Citizenship for them
