Hello,

I read all other posts on evidence required for English but some recent posts seem to be saying that in the absence of the letter saying 'degree taught on English' best to give the ESOL test? So not sure which will be the best option. Our details as below:

For the dependent's ILR application, we have 1. NARIC letter saying that Degree is comparable to UK degree (nothing about English language) + 2. we can see the degree on PBS and get 10 points for it. We have no other evidence of English language as we are unable to get the letter from the Indian university (lot of bureaucracy!) and have not given any ESOL tests. Will 1+2 suffice in this case?

We will apply by post towards the end of April/starting of May. Currently under T2-General and completing 5 years. I am the main applicant with UK education.

Does anyone has the UKBA phone number or email to ask them?

Thank you

Yes what you have got should be suffice. Degree certificate and PBS recognition should be enough. Letter/ESOL are additional documents.

If you want you can talk to home office help line 0300 123 2241 - option 4 for ILR
