Tier 1+Tier 2 counted as 5 years to ILR?

I would appreciate if the seniors could answer this:
I am on Tier 1 (G) since 3 years. If I change to Tier 2 now, will the initial 3 years on Tier 1, count to ILR in another 2 years?
( The links only discuss changes from Tier 2 to Tier 1 and not vice versa )

Yes it will if you switch to Tier 2 General.

Thank you for the reply.
However, the link you have provided does not mention anywhere about switching from one category to another. It only discusses absences for the purpose of calculation.

page 2 states the sub-categories that make up time towards the 5 year continous residence period.
the same information is also stated under 'continuous period' section here,

Thanks for the reply. Page 2 has no mention of switching.
The second link refers to Tier 1to ILR. I am looking for Tier 2 to ILR.
