Hi,
I am on Tier 2 (G) and will be applying for ILR next month with my spouse. I am not including my 7 year old Autistic son in the application as he is UK born. But I was wondering if my sons being disabled would affect the ILR application. We are not receiving any benefits. Could any expert please comment on this?
Many Thanks

No it won't, because that would be considered discrimination.

Thanks for the quick and invaluable information CR!

I was concerned because many other contries like Canada, Australia do this discrimination to immigrants

Besides, as your child is UK born, he has an entitlement to register as a British citizen as soon as you are granted ILR.

Thanks, I am aware of this. I was just thinking if they think my son as a burden to UK economy and decline parents ILR to avoid this. Just a thought.

Your son is not a burden to anyone. He is just an ordinary person like anybody else but with some special needs. I wish you all the best for your application.
