I was looking into the ILR main applicant forms.

They are asking about ESOL Qualification at Level1,Level2 and Level 3.

Does that mean no further English language test is required for dependant ILR applications if we have undergone ESOL course?

Thanks

English requirements for ILR is English at B1. Have a look at the SELT list if you need to take a English test:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... uage-tests

If you already have done a ESOL test, then the minimum requirement is ESOL Entry 3, this is equivalent to B1 of the CEFR. There is no Level 3, the levels are as follows;

ESOL Entry 1-------A1 CEFR
ESOL Entry 2-------A2 CEFR
ESOL Entry 3-------B1 CEFR
ESOL Level 1-------B2 CEFR
ESOL Level 2-------C1 CEFR

Ensure the ESOL is on the OFQUAL register.

There is no requirement to do the course, but you must do the test. The course is only to help those improve their English ability in order to pass the test.
