I applied for 10 yrs long residence in august. Today i received a letter stating i didnt provide kol so i have to pay 400 health surcharge and then be considered as an application for limited leave remain and be given 24 months. The letter states they have rejected the 10 yrs long residence due to not having met knowledge of life. To my understanding KOL is life in the uk right? I did do the test of life in the uk and i did pass it and i did send the copy of my pass notification letter to ho. What shall i do now please help im all over the place with stress. Shall i send the copy to them to prove i did do and pass the test? Before i sent my application i made photocopies of every single thing i sent them. Will this be okay for them to consider?

Did you submit proof of B1 English Test (KOL = knowledge of language)?

I did provide B1 english test from trinity college. Its only kol they are mentioning.

If you have proof you submitted all the originals, perhaps you can challenge them. Was your English test on the approved provider list?

Yes i did it in hammersmith trinity college. The one they are stating is kol knowledge of life not the english test as they stated its okay its only kol

Then I don't know, if you have sent them the original LIUK pass notification letter, then perhaps write to them and ask or send a copy of what you have. When did you apply? If after April, you could have applied in person for a same day decision.

I applied in august did my biometrics last month. Yes im going to write to them and im gonna call them as well. It looks like they lost the pass test i sent them which was the original one im only left with a copy.

Maybe send the copy (and keep another copy for yourself) and advise them that it was sent with your original application. They have the means to verify your test anyway, so worth a shot.
