Hello Guys

This is regarding the proof for knowledge of english for ILR applications

As per this gov.uk link https://www.gov.uk/english-language/degrees-in-english
if we show degree taught in english as a proof for english languauge qualifications do we need to show

- an original letter or certificate from UK NARIC confirming the equivalent level of your degree
- plus an official letter from your university with your name and degree confirming that your degree was taught in English.

My question is do we also need to get a letter from university confirming the level of english used in degree like B1/B2 or it just medium of instruction stating it is in english is enough?

Thanks

Hi - My ILR application was recently approved and I provided following documents for English language:

1. ELA letter from NARIC
2. University letter stating that my degree was taught in English
3. Original degree certificate

and it was accepted by home office.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi,

Do you showed original letter from university to UKBA or scanned copy will do ?
As we already got UK Naric letter plus degree certificate so i guess both documents should be
good rather than showing original letter from university as well.
Can someone clarify.

Thanks,
Manu
