2-Year Route for ILR still available?

All,
First of all allow me to apologise if this has been covered by another post. I tried to look, both in relevant areas and in the FAQs but I wasn't able to find something.

Now, to business. I am a British Citizen by birth and my wife is Nigerian. My wife applied and was granted a spouse visa in 2013. We applied sometime in March 2013 and the visa was finally granted in December 2013.

As her current visa is due to expire in July we are trying to figure out what the next step is. I was under the impression that she would need to apply for an extension to her spouse visa wait it out and then apply for ILR under the 5-year route, since the 2-year route for ILR is now closed. We were told that it is still possible to apply for an ILR using the Set (m) form.

I was wondering if anyone has had similar experiences.

No, the 2 year route to settlement closed for applications submitted after 9th July 2012. Your wife will have to submit an application for a 2.5 year extension on form FLR(M). She will only qualify for ILR once she has completed the full 5 years of residency.
She will also have to pay the £500 NHS surcharge.
