Hi,

I am an Australian and have been working in the UK since 2013. Between 2013 and 2914 I was working on a Tier 5 (Youth Mobility visa) and then got sponsored, Since then I have been working on a Tier 2 General visa. Will I be able to apply for Indefinite leave to remain in 2018 (5 years working in the UK, 1.5 on Tier 5 and the remaining on Tier2) or will I have to wait until I have done 5 years on my Tier 2?

I can't find anywhere that says a Tier 5 visa contributes to the years towards the application. Hoping it does though - any insight will be helpful.

Thanks!

No, Tier 5 does not count towards ILR based on 5 years residence. It will only count for ILR based on 10 years long residence.

You will need 5 years on Tier 2 for ILR.
