Hello,
I am on a Tier 2 General Visa with the entry clearance date from 18th Jan 2012 however entered UK on 1st March 2012.I am planning to apply for Premier Service.
I know that you can apply 28days prior to the eligible period.
In this case does my qualifying period starts from 18th Jan 2012?
In that case would 22nd Dec 2016 be an eligible date to apply for ILR at a premier service centre?
Please advice,
Thank you kindly

Hi,
In my point of view you have to apply on exact date when your 5 years will be completing in UK from the date you entered UK.if you are apply through premier service.
Best of Luck

Yes. It does not have to be exactly 28 days before. It can be any date WITHIN 28 days before.

Your qualifying period starts 28 days BEFORE 18th Jan 2017 and you can apply after 22nd Dec 2016.

Thank you kindly for your reply,
Just to summarise:
Tier 2 (general) visa from 18 Jan 2012 -28 Feb 2015
Entered UK on: 1st March 2012
Reapplied and Tier 2 Extension Visa up to: 1st March 2018
The period between entry clearance being issued and the applicant entering the UK may be counted toward the qualifying period , thus I can apply 28 days prior to eligible period.
Questions:
1. I have booked for premier service centre at Glasgow on 23rd Dec 2016 for ILR, so hopefully that should be fine in my eligibility?
Just rechecking would that be ok?
2. On the SET(O) form on Section 7.13 How long have you lived in UK? I have written 4 year 9 months 26 days, is that ok?
3. On the SET(O) form on Section 12B , Document from employer confirming spent a continuous period of 5 years as work permit holder, should that be written? how is that possible , as I have spend 4 years , 9 months 26 days? but then the qualifying period starts from the entry clearance 18th Jan 2012. Or should it just state that I am still required for the employment in future?
Please advice,
Thank you
